Oranges - a Bobby Tradition
It has become something of a rite of passage in our house when a baby is finally allowed to have his first orange. At almost eleven months, Dylan has had a few bites of tangerine slices but he's never shared an orange with Granddaddy - until today. It's Bobby's favorite fruit and he eats several a day. Bobby claims that he's so healthy because of all the oranges he eats every day and who can argue with that? My father once said he had never seen anyone eat fruit the way Bobby does and that "he just makes the orange look so good!" He doesn't just slice it or rip the skin off - he slowly and gently peels the rind with his special citrus peeling gadget.(We have several of these around our house, in the kitchen, next to his favorite chair, etc., and we NEVER run out!
